Experience in organizing hunting and fishing tourism in Russian regions
Currently, hunting and fishing tourism in Russia is developing very quickly and everywhere. Many tourist areas of the Russian Federation have included hunting and fishing in the list of their tourist services.
Here are some examples:
- Tourist complex “Russian hunting” (Penza region)
In the “Russian Hunt” there are no buildings made of glass and concrete, only wooden houses made in the style of ancient Russian architecture. Vacationers can live in five guest houses and the Inn, all 11 rooms of which differ in design from each other. At the same time, guest houses and hotel rooms are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay: telephones, air conditioners, satellite TV, refrigerators, safes. There are many gazebos equipped with mangalas on the street — for large companies and small groups of vacationers. There is a real Russian bath on the bank of the river, there are two swimming pools nearby.
The complex has created a real paradise for fishing enthusiasts: two ponds are arranged, in which carp, silver carp, and white amur are found. The shooting range is a special pride of the “Russian Hunt”. It is equipped according to European standards and can host competitions of the highest level.
In the “Russian Hunt” all conditions are created for the organization of a serious meeting at the highest level, there is a private conference room for business meetings, which can easily be transformed into a banquet hall. [6, p. 41]
- Khanty — Mansiysk district (Ugra).
Yugra is an ideal region for hunters and fishermen. This is a country of forests, rivers and swamps. Since 1997, the Yugra Safari has been organized for tourists in the district. Jaeger service, transfer, accommodation in a hunting lodge, registration of a license for trapping, processing of trophies, hunting equipment, full equipment — everything disposes to rest and interesting pastime. Permits are issued in the region for shooting bears, moose, and game.
Since 2001, a specialized exhibition “Yugratur” has been held annually in the district. In 2006, the 3rd specialized exhibition “National Hunting and Fishing” was held within the framework of Yugratur, in which 96 Russian travel agencies and agencies took part [19, p. 47].
- Volgograd region.
The Volgograd region has a variety of recreational resources. Rivers, floodplain forests, lakes are a great place for recreation and tourism.
Currently, there are 7 nature parks in the region. “Volga — Akhtuba floodplain”, “Donskoy”, “Elton”, “Shcherbakovsky”, “Nizhnekhopersky”, “Tsimlyansk sands”, “Ust — Medveditsky”. The opportunity to diversify the leisure of tourists with sports (fishing, swimming, etc.), the impact of picturesque landscapes and the change of impressions — all this allows us to consider reservoirs as the most important tourist resources of the Volgograd region.
The leadership of the region plans to create a year-round fishing club on the banks of the Don River on the basis of the tourist facility “Donskaya Volnitsa”. The tourist base is located in a picturesque ecologically clean protected place in the forest, 60 km from Volgograd, and occupies an area of 2.2 hectares. The location of the object on the banks of the Don River makes it the most attractive for lovers of fishing and experimental water recreation. In winter — skiing, hunting, fishing, equestrian sports; in summer — fishing with an experienced instructor, paintball, hunting, rafting on life rafts on the Don River. [24, p. 73]
- Pskov region.
Thanks to the large number of lakes in the Pskov region, fishing is flourishing. Numerous camp sites on the shores of lakes and rivers offer a wide range of services — from fishing to experimental sports. Recently, Lake Velje has become of interest to anglers. At the initiative of the regional society of hunters and fishermen, a hunting and fishing base was built here, the lake level was raised, carp and white carp were launched into it.
Pskov Region is also attractive for hunters. Traditional types of hunting for elk, wild boar, bear, as well as hog and waterfowl are common in the region. Each hunting season is different in its own way.
To date, more than 3,500 thousand hectares of hunting grounds in the Pskov region are divided among 32 hunting users. Many hunting farms are equipped with recreation bases
